I make stories for podcasts, magazines and the radio from Santa Fe, NM, when I'm not somewhere else.
Right now, I'm producing for WNYC's Death, Sex & Money podcast. In the past I've reported for NPR from Georgia (the country, not the state), and for public radio stations in Wyoming and Alaska.
I've covered disasters, displaced people, public lands, Arctic drilling and the crab mafia, among other things, and my work has appeared in Outside, Bloomberg Businessweek, Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Marketplace, Here & Now, PBS NewsHour and The Takeaway.
Before I was a journalist, I took people ice climbing on glaciers, taught in a refugee camp in Algeria and lived at the end of Norway's longest fjord.
I'm a Canuck by birth, but Alaska will always be home.
